Shayna began their formalized arts training at the Orange County School of the Arts with a concentration in Integrated Arts. They later received their minor in Theater and Performances Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, where they were awarded the 2020 Grace Sprague Pillsbury and Josephine Park Pillsbury Award for an Actress of Excellence. Recent theatrical credits include work with Vallejo Shakespeare in the Park, the Berkeley Playhouse, and Prague Shakespeare Company.

They currently study voice under the training of Clotile Bonner-Farkas.
